The LTTO offers support during the key stages of knowledge transfer:
- project set-up and funding research;
- detection of original findings and protection of intellectual property (‘scouting’);
- maturation, that is, when the invention encounters the constraints of the market and end-users of the prospective products or services;
- commercialisation, that is, knowledge transfer.
Every step of the way, the LTTO provides UCL researchers and their partners a wide array of services for the purposes of project set-up and funding research, drawing up contracts, intellectual property protection, biological or any other material transfers, business model definition, negotiating licensing support agreements, and spin-off launch guidance.
