Wich profile?

Your application for registration must be made through the University Institute of Continuing Education.

Students who want to take a class as a student-at-large must receive authorisation from the relevant faculty . Students who want to take a language class offered by the UCL Language Institute (ILV) as a student-at-large must receive authorisation from the ILV .

Attach the authorisation to:

  • ENROLMENT form (first ENROLMENT or re-ENROLMENT);
  • ENROLMENT modification form , if the student is already enrolled and wants to make additions;
  • for new students, a copy of identification card or passport.

Submit the above documents to the ENROLMENT Office .

Please note that members of Senior University ( Université des Ainés , UDA ) can benefit from a discount if they meet certain conditions.

Following the reform of the level A qualification for federal civil servants who hold a level B or C degree, it is now possible for them to enrol as a student-at-large in a master’s programme class.

To do so, the civil servant must:

1) read the administrative procedures on the IFA website ;

2) upon completing the procedures, apply to enrol at UCL by following the student-at-large ENROLMENT procedure .

2017-18 academic year

The French Community of Belgium University Education Jury hears anyone who demonstrates the impossibility of his or her standard ENROLMENT in a university and who wants to pursue university study at the bachelor’s or master’s level.

Note: students who spend two consecutive academic years enrolled at the same year-level of the same programme, whether at a university or through the French Community of Belgium University Education Jury, cannot register for the corresponding exams until three academic years have passed.

Dossier submission periods for the following sessions:

January through March 2018 for the June 2018 session;
May through June 2018* for the September 2018 session

*from 1 to 31 July 2018 solely for students who, at the end of the May-June session, want to enrol again in the September 2018 session .

The 2017-18 tuition fee is €384.

Required documents:

  • certification of impossibility of standard ENROLMENT in a university;
  • certification of your activities over the last five years;
  • certified copy of certificate qualifying you for a university education (see admission requirements );
  • certified copy of any post-secondary education degrees;
  • copy of front/back of identification card or passport;
  • certificate of residence.

If your application is accepted, you will receive an ENROLMENT authorisation.

The ENROLMENT Office will process your ENROLMENT and tuition fee payment.

BELGIAN: It is a diploma issued by Belgium (French, Flemish or German-speaking Community). It is therefore n ot a non-Belgian diploma made equivalent by the French Community of Belgium.

    • have earned a secondary school degree within the last five years;

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

To access studies in the field of engineering sciences, civil engineering engineer architect, an entrance exam is mandatory. Thank you to visit the corresponding faculty

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

Access to Medecine and/or Dentistry Studies depends is determined by an entrance exam. The related information is available on the ARES website (Académie de Recherche et d'Enseignement Supérieur).

ORIENTATION TEST

Students wishing to enroll in a bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine must pass an orientation test. The related information is available on the ARES website (Académie de Rercherche et d'Enseignement Supérieur). Students enrolled in the 1st year of the bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine must submit at the end of the year to a competition at the end of which some of them will be able to obtain, according to a defined quota, a certificate authorizing them to continue their studies . This certificate will be required at the time of administrative registration with the Registrar's Office of the UCL following the cycle.

Residency criterion

Each academic year, enrolment of non-resident students who register for the first time in the French Community in certain courses of the first cycle is limited to 30% (20% for veterinary medecine) of the total number of students (residents and non-residents) enrolled the previous year. Please choose one of the following situations to determine your residency status.

You have been living in Belgium for at least 3 years

The draw

If the university receives more applications than the total number of registrations received the year before (residents and non-residents), it will proceed to a draw of registrations to determine which applications for registration will be retained. The results of the draw will be published on the website of each university

ONLINE ENROLMENT

If you hold a Belgian diploma and if you are a EU citizen, whatever your choice of studies (bachelor, master, phD or university certificate), your enrolment at UCL is always done with an online registration procedure (see below). At the end of this one you will receive an email containing the modalities to follow.

ONLINE ADMISSION REQUEST

You must first complete an online application for admission BEFORE ANY APPLICATION FOR ENROLMENT. This procedure applies to all students holding a non-Belgian diploma, regardless of their nationality
