Dates: 1 July to 4 August 2018 Organisation: LOCI-Tournai, Faculty of Architecture, Architectural Engineering and Urban Planning, UCL Présentation: One-week trainings graphic expression trainings in Lemps, a small village in the department of Drôme, France. Organised for some forty years, they are an integral part of the school culture of LOCI-Tournai. Summer short course in Geomatics 2018

Dates: 2-4 July 2018 Organisation: UCL, Research Lab in Environmetry and Geomatics (Earth and Life Institute) Overview: Professor Matthew C. Hansen (University of Maryland, USA) will give a three day course entitled “Supervised characterization of land cover and land use using optical time-series dataDates”. Algorithms, feature space, and training data elements of the supervised characterization of land cover and land use extent and change will be examined. Newer machine learning methods will be compared to traditional algorithms. Methods for deriving feature spaces derived from multi-temporal, multispectral data will be presented, as will be strategies for collecting training data. Dates : 4-6 July 2018 Organisation : University of Louvain Overview : Moodle is an open-source e-learning platform used in more than 200 countries. This 14th edition of the French-speaking MoodleMoot will bring together 350 to 500 participants, teachers and IT managers from educational and training institutions, and IT developers from French-speaking countries (France, Belgium, Switzerland, North Africa, etc.).
