Over the years, the CECL has developed expertise in several fields. These include learner corpus research and the related field of Second Language Acquisition, but also cross-linguistic research, lexis, phraseology and lexicography, and varieties of English. Of great interest too are the pedagogical applications of the corpus-based studies carried out at the Centre.
