The Label France corpus is a unidirectional translation corpus of magazine articles (including transcribed interviews) in French translated into English. The articles were all published in Label France, a quarterly magazine published by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It deals with a variety of topics, such as politics, economics, culture, technology and tourism. The corpus was aligned automatically at sentence level with Alinea (Olivier Kraif) and is readily usable in the multilingual concordancer ParaConc (Michael Barlow). It consists of c. 800,000 words in each language (original French and translated English) and represents an ideal testbed to study French-English translation shifts and thereby revisit existing descriptions in bilingual dictionaries.
