UCL puts its research findings to commercial use by driving, in a highly organised, collaborative and professional manner, the transfer of knowledge.
It does so by ensuring respect for UCL’s intellectual property regulations, which specify the rules governing intellectual property and the protection and promotion of research findings. Types of intellectual property protection include patents, undisclosed knowledge confidentiality agreements, copyright, trademarks, corporate names and domain names.
From the outset, UCL encourages all parties to ensure confidentiality of shared information and lay the groundwork for material exchanges by signing non-disclosure agreements (NDA) and materiel transfer agreements (MTA).
