The CECL is currently involved in several projects, among which:
- the LEAD project aims to develop a web-based EAP dictionary for non-native writers;
- two projects explore World Englishes, one focusing on verb complementation patterns and the other one investigating the link between World Englishes and Learner Englishes;
- several members of the team are involved in an ARC project on (dis)fluency markers in first and second language and on discourse markers as (dis)fluency markers;
- one project compares the use and placement patterns of cohesive markers of contrast in English and in French;
- finally, one project examines the linguistic, cognitive and educational aspects of content and language integrated learning (CLIL).
Research is also being actively pursued on the collection, markup and annotation of the four major learner corpus projects: ICLE, LINDSEI, LONGDALE and VESPA, as well as the new corpus projects, NESSI and MUST.
