The six-step application procedure

SIC

1. Identify the programme to which you want to apply and verify that you meet the application requirements. Also inquire about the programme’s cost.

2. Complete our website’s online registration application. To correctly submit your application, answer the four preliminary questions that identify your profile. These questions are necessary for the proper management of your application, so be sure to answer them correctly. Afterwards, you will find a series of tabs to complete and documents to provide during your online application.

3. You will then receive an email with a list of documents to compile in two separate files to be sent by post. The first will contain certified copies, the second will be a simple copy of the first. These two files comprise your application dossier. If you are a non-EU national and do not have Belgian student status, an application fee of €83.50 may be required, depending on the course. The fee must be paid in advance and proof of payment included with the dossier (bank account statement, debit notice, etc.). If you are admitted to and enroll in the programme, €83.50 will be deducted from your tuition fees. The application fee will not be refunded if you are not admitted. If you apply to two programmes, are admitted to both, and choose to enroll in one, the application fee for the programme in which you chose not to enroll will be neither deducted from your tuition fees nor refunded.

4. Please send your application dossier in a single envelope by post to the address indicated in the email prompted by your completing one of the online forms mentioned in step 2 above. Your dossier must be received by the deadline indicated in the PDF of the online application, with the envelope’s postdate serving as proof.

5. The Admissions Office acknowledges receipt of your dossier by email. You may be asked to provide any missing documents.

6. Your application is evaluated (this can take several weeks).

7. The university informs you of its decision:
- If you are admitted, you are informed by post via an ‘Enrollment Authorization’ that you may use to apply for a visa.
- If you are not admitted, you are informed by email.
