The 2017 European SEMI Award goes to Jean-Pierre Raskin

This award is delivered to a person or a group who bring innovation in the field of semiconductor, microsystems, photovoltaic and display. That innovation must have profoundly changed the microelectronics industry over the last five years. In 2017 SEMI gives the prestigious award to Dr. Jean-Pierre RASKIN, full professor at UCL, who is the inventor of the trap-rich RF SOI substrate, and Dr. Bernard ASPAR, Executive Vice President, Communication & Power BU at Soitec, who manufactures with his company the novel RF SOI substrate which is today used by all the foundries worldwide.
