Allan Barrea, Benoit P. Delhaye, Philippe Lefèvre and Jean-Louis Thonnard were awarded the best work-in-progress paper award at the IEEE World Haptics Conference held on June 6-9, 2017 in Munich, Germany for their work entitled "Finger pad mechanics during dexterous object manipulation". They presented a novel experimental device equipped with fingertip force sensing and finger pad imaging capabilities to study the effect of fingertip contact dynamics on object manipulation.
