In order to help and support internal equality and diversity practices the UCL has appointed an Advisor to the President for Gender policy. Her task is to :
- Steer, at institution level, the gender policy in the area of personnel management, for the three categories of personnel (PAC, PST and PAT)
- Coordinate the activities covering gender in the area of education, research and service to society with the players in those various areas
- Help the university governance change towards more diversity
In order to meet the strategic goals of the assignment in the area of gender policy, an action plan has been prepared with the specific goals of :
- Banking on internal expertise and previous experience
- Stimulating and structuring existing trends
- Supporting the initiatives of the university community
- Promoting positive comments and images
- Assessing and viewing the progress and the results
