The action plan in the area of gender policy intends to promote gender equality by ensuring equal opportunities.

Act toward more support to balance representation of men and women within the University’s decision-making bodies. - Personnel policy
• Have gender quantified figures of the various categories of personnel at UCL
• Inform in a cross-functional manner about the policy in the area of gender at UCL
• Make every effort to guarantee diversity in selection and promotion commissions
• Make change the criteria used in the assessment of the various categories of personnel
• Offer training and workshops related to professional support to careers to the various categories of personnel
• Make sure to support the balance and conciliation of private life and professional life
• Inform about the rights of victims of gender-related discriminations.
• Display and communicate information in a non discriminating manner - Education
• Clarify the 1st gender study cycle offer (minor)
• Offer an interuniversity 2nd cycle programme in gender studies
• Have specific information about gender in the training offer at UCL (beyond the 1st and 2nd specific cycles of gender studies)
• Raise the awareness of male and female students and male and female teachers in the issue of diversity and equality
• Display and communicate information in a non discriminating manner
• Inform about the rights of victims of gender-related discriminations - Research
• Continue the structuring including gender research at UCL
• Encourage and support gender research
• Have specific information about gender in research at the UCL - Service to society
• Communicate to the general public on the achievements / results of the UCL in the area of gender policy
• Initiate a dialogue with the civil society
The action plan includes concrete actions to be developed in the framework both of governance and of personnel policy and of the three missions of the University. It will be assessed based on indicators in order to be adjusted every year, as needed.
