Doing an internship at UCL
To do an internship at UCL, you must be:
- a secondary school student, or
- a bachelor’s or master’s programme student, or
- a workforce reintegration programme participant (Forem).*
*A PhD student, researcher, professor, administrator, etc., will intern at UCL under another status, such as ‘visitor’.
Procedure
First, find an internship supervisor. This can be a faculty, research, administrative or technical staff member.

If the prospective internship supervisor accepts, he or she will draft an internship agreement that will be signed by UCL, the intern’s home institution and the intern. The supervisor will also draft a risk assessment. The intern will take both of these documents to register at the Enrolment Office (fee: €66).
