Jehanne Sosson

Full Professor at the Université catholique de Louvain, Faculty of Law and Criminology since 1998.
Director of the Centre de droit de la personne, de la famille et de son patrimoine (CeFAP).

Lecturer at the Université Saint-Louis Bruxelles, Brussels and at the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
Courses delivered (Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Law): Family law, Advanced issues in family law, Family Justice, Successions and wills, Matrimonial regimes.

Her research focuses on all aspects of family law, and more intensively in recent years on parentage, artificial reproduction techniques, surrogacy, … in a Belgian and comparative perspective. She has co-authored directed books on those topics.

She has also an intense professional practice of those questions as attorney at the Brussels Bar since 30 years, specialized in family law cases, and especially international family law cases such international divorces, child abductions cases, international surrogacies…

Geoffrey Willems

Geoffrey Willems

Geoffrey Willems is Professor of Family Law at Université catholique de Louvain. He has experience in legal practice and has participated as a researcher in several national and international projects. His main lines of research are interactions between human rights law and family law, comparative family law and privatisation of family law.

Gwendoline Motte

 

Gwendoline Motte is a teaching and research assistant at the Université catholique de Louvain. Her main research areas cover European and comparative family law with a special interest for international family law and comparative family law. She is also an independent family mediator. She has ten years of experience in the European law legal practice as well as in European public affairs.
