Research Associates are scholars from other institutions collaborating with IRES members. Our list includes Extramural Research Associates and UCLouvain Alumni (former PhD students and postdoc researchers from UCLouvain). The status of Research Associate is granted for one civil year by the IRES Council and is renewable. Extramural Research Associates visiting IRES on a regular basis and sharing an office at IRES can be promoted as Associate Fellows. After two years, Associate Fellows can become IRES members and take part in the IRES Council.
