Supramolecular Photochemistry and Organic Chemistry
In the laboratory of Supramolecular Photochemistry and Organic Chemistry, we work on the synthesis and spectroscopic studies of Ir(III) and Ru(II) polypyridyl transition metal complexes. We are taking advantages of their charge photoinjection properties to:
(a) trigger new photocatalysed organic reaction
(b) develop molecular DNA photoprobes or finally
(c) create new supramolecular system for light induced hydrogen production.
Example of the use of transition metal complexes in photocatalytic Pschorr reaction (up), supramolecular system for the photogeneration of H2 (bottom left) and DNA photoprobes (bottom right).
