IMCN is located on the campus of the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), in the city of Louvain-la-Neuve. Louvain-la-Neuve is located approximately 30 km South-East from Brussels. The city can be easily accessed by train, car, or even bike. IMCN facilities are within walking distance from the train station (10 to 20 min).
IMCN secretary and chairman's offices are located in the Lavoisier building, Place L. Pasteur 1, 1348 Louvain-la-Neuve (Level B1 - Room B.108 - ++32(0)10.47.40.45) (see map below).
IMCN research divisions are located in different buildings:
- Lavoisier - SC08, place L. Pasteur 1 (MOST & BSMA),
- Boltzmann - SC14A, Croix du Sud 1 (BSMA),
- Marc de Hemptinne - SCO1, chemin du Cyclotron 1 (NAPS),

If you travel by train, please take a ticket with the final destination 'Louvain-la-Neuve Université' only (not 'Louvain' which is an entirely different city). You may either take a slow hourly train stopping in Louvain-la-Neuve, or take a faster train on the Namur-Luxemburg line, exit in Ottignies, and take a commuting train to Louvain-la-Neuve.
If you travel by plane through Brussels international airport, go downstairs after arrival to take a train to Brussels, then connect to 'Louvain-la-Neuve Université' in Brussels North Station. Refer to the paragraph above for details.
If you travel by car, please contact us in advance to obtain a car park entry right to the campus of UCLouvain.
UCL parkings are only for university members or students, but an access could be obtained for visitors by your contact.
CAREFUL : do not forget your disk for non paying parkings (2 hours max.)
