Research Interests:
My research project aims at clarifying the nature of arithmetical processes and their relationship with visuo-spatial attention mechanisms with the contribution of different methodological approachs:
a) Behavioural studies will examine the impact of orienting attention on mental calculation
b) Neuropsychological studies of neglect patients will evaluate the possible consequence of an impairment of visuo-spatial attention on arithmetic problems
c) Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) will be employed to assess the contribution of attentional cerebral circuits on number processing
