UCL spin-offs

A spin-off is a company born of a transfer of knowledge from the university to civil society, and thus also of the university’s mission to serve society. UCL, via the Louvain Technology Transfer Office, has contributed to the start-up of 72 spin-offs since 1986, of which 62 are still in business.

They operate in all fields of innovation, such as life sciences, nanotechnology, biomedical sciences, robotics, energy, food science, digital technology and business services.
