Identification, detection and quantification of compounds are of crucial importance in many fields like biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, food sciences, biomedical analysis or environmental analysis. To perform such task various techniques are available, among which mass spectrometry coupled to chromatography is probably the most powerful.
To this aim, the MASSMET facility platform was founded in 2009 as part of the Louvain Drug Research Institute and the Institut des Sciences de la Vie. The goal of this platform is to develop new analytical methods mainly by mass spectrometry coupled to chromatography and to offer a high level of support in analytical chemistry to the different labs of these institutes. We welcome collaborations with other labs.
