On 11 September, the Financial Times published its annual ‘Masters in Management’ world rankings. The CEMS Master’s in International Management (MIM) offered by the Louvain School of Management (LSM, UCL’s school of management), the rankings’ sole Belgian representative, is ranked ninth.
Founded in 1988 and offered by the world’s 30 highest ranked business schools, the CEMS programme is one of the jewels of the LSM. It’s a comprehensive two-year master’s programme in international management that allows students to combine two degrees (the LSM master’s and the CEMS MIM). Practice-oriented, CEMS proposes spending a semester at another institution in the CEMS network (e.g. Esade (Spain), Bocconi (Italy), University of St Gallen (Switzerland), Rotterdam School of Management (the Netherlands), Sydney Business School (Australia), HKUST Business School (China), Yvey Business School (Canada)), an international internship, a business project, and soft skills seminars offered by CEMS partner companies (McKinsey, Deloïte, PwC, Google, GSK, Facebook, L’Oréal, Microsoft, etc.).
CEMS in figures:
- 30 business schools on five continents
- More than 1,264 students representing 70 nationalities
- More than 75 partner companies (including multinationals) and seven NGO partners
- 12,029 alumni representing 85 nationalities and working in 75 countries
- Every year LSM welcomes approximately 40 students from other CEMS institutions
- 48 of our CEMS students study for one semester at one of the 30 network institutions
