In BIOCAPAN we aim at developing an innovative treatment for Diabetes Mellitus, based on the implantation of smartly microencapsulated allogeneic islet cells, which will allow an effective long-lasting blood glucose normalization and stabilisation, without the need for immunosuppressants.
