Ronggang Cai wins a Chinese government award for outstanding self-financed students abroad.
The China Scholarship Council has awarded a Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad to Ronggang Cai, a recent doctoral graduate researcher from IMCN/BSMA. This honor, which comes along with a cash prize of $ 6000, is awarded annually to ca. 500 Chinese researchers studying overseas. This competitive grant will be awarded at the China Embassy in Brussels on April 21.
Ronggang Cai was selected based on his original contribution to the development of ferroelectric polymer-based memory devices, a work which he performed under the supervision of Alain Jonas. More recently, Ronggang Cai has been working in the development of superhydrophobic and superoleophobic textiles.
