In the first weeks following the start of the academic year, the Bachelor’s Passport helps students assess skills acquired from secondary school and thus ascertain whether prerequisites are necessary prior to taking university courses. The ‘Passport’ are online or in-person tests and differ according to programme.
In the Human Sciences Sector, Bachelor’s Passports assess:
- English;
- general culture;
- written expression;
- reading and comprehension;
- mathematics for the human sciences.
In the Science and Technology Sector, they assess:
- biology;
- chemistry;
- reading a scientific text;
- mathematics and physics for the sciences.
Passport results are not involved in the student’s final assessment. They help students ascertain whether they should take advantage of any of the educational support UCL offers at the start of the academic year.
