The importance of economic evaluations – think about it (in time)

Abstract:

In this presentation, we will explain why economic evaluations are so important when judging about reimbursement of medical interventions. After describing what such an evaluation is all about, we will give you an idea of which items you need to take into account (e.g. when setting up a research protocol) if you want to perform such an evaluation. We will also provide you some links to interesting guidelines to support you when you want to make an economic evaluation and on how to measure the impact on quality of life, which is an important aspect in such evaluations.
