VACUUM PHYSICS AND TECHNIQUES - SOCRATES Intensive Program
November 27th - December 5th, 2008
Université catholique de Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium
The course is designed for students or anyone using or planning to use vacuum techniques, and is more specifically intended for students in Physics and in Applied Sciences.
The course is part of the UCL Master Program in Physics PHY2246 - see here for detailed description.
AIMS
The course will contain both theory and practical with a strong emphasis on producing and maintaining high and ultrahigh vacuum in both scientific and industrial applications. Industrial visits will be organized during the course.
CONDITIONS
The course will be suitable for physicists, engineers scientists or any one with a basic knowledge of Physics. Teaching will be in English. Every participant will receive lectures notes. Further details are available from [User#getMailto#K.Dunn@qub.ac.uk# (QueenPierre DEFRANCE:pierre.defrance@uclouvain.be# (UCL Physics Department), (UCL Electrical Engineering Department), or mailto:Ken DUNN]39;s University of Belfast, Department of Pure and Applied Physics).
