Levon Babajanyan is lecturer at Yerevan State University (YSU). He teaches Philosophy, Ethics, Political Ethics and Bioethics at YSU and several other universities in Yerevan, such as the “European Regional Academy” and the “Fondation Université Française en Arménie”.

His PhD thesis was about the philosophy of cynicism in the context of nowadays ethical and cultural issues. His research interests include the Philosophy of Politics, Political Ethics, Ethics and ICT, as well as modern French philosophy and postmodern philosophy. Recently he has started exploring the philosophical area of Ethics and ICT and he is trying to find new ethical attitude to new social areas. He continues to pursue his research on cynicism and try to find ethical explanations of the cynicism in Post-Soviet countries like Armenia.

During his teaching staff mission from March 12 to March 16, Professor Babajanyan

  • will take part in the teaching of the course LFSA2202 Ethics and ICT

  • give lectures in the framework of a research seminar and

  • participate in the research activities of the Chaire Hoover
