GRIASS
(Interdisciplinary Study Group on Sub-saharan Africa)
GRIASS is a collective of UCL researchers, professors, PhD candidates and students working on different aspects of African development.
Through the exchange among different disciplines and an attention for a broad range of issues, GRIASS offers a discusion forum for the development of new perspectives and research trajectories to understand the reality of contemporary African countries.
Through seminars, conferences and debates covering the most relevant development topics, from rural development to security, from democratisation processes to gender questions, GRIASS aims at becoming a platform for the exchange and analysis of the transformations that the African continent is undergoing, in order to translate them into valuable academic research.
