CORE is offering a postdoctoral fellowship, to start at your earliest convenience and preferably no later than September 1, 2018, in the area of welfare analysis of behavioral agents. The successful candidate will be located at CORE, but s/he will be part of a team of researchers gathering faculty, fellows and PhD students from Université Libre de Bruxelles, Universiteit van Antwerpen and KULeuven. The PI’s of this project at CORE are Johannes Johnen and François Maniquet. More information about the team and the project can be found on the IWABE website.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop her/his own theoretical, empirical or experimental research focusing on the analysis of welfare when agents are not rational in the classical sense. The usual requirements of contributing to the CORE Discussion Papers series and to seminars at CORE, and of publishing their research in the best international peer-reviewed journals apply.
Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their academic achievements and their ability to interact with the researchers involved in this project.
Researchers have to fulfill the "mobility" requirement, i.e., have not resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Belgium for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the start of the fellowship.
The position is offered for 24 months. There are no teaching duties attached to it.

The net monthly allowance varies according to the experience of the fellow (with a minimum of around € 2,400/month). Benefits include health insurance and the costs of the trip from your host institution to CORE. Note that the CORE Secretariat will help you find accommodation. A research budget of € 2,000 per academic year is also provided to cover professional travels and expenses.
