Doctoral Seminars

IRSS Bruxelles Woluwe

Dear researchers and PhD students,

Dear professors,

The seminars of the IRSS are an essential activity of our institute. These are an opportunity to share your research, to receive constructive feedback from your peers to improve your work, to participate actively in the exchanges and the scientific abundance of our institute.

You have the opportunity to present your work according to 4 modalities:

  • an early ongoing research project (brainstorming);
  • a review of the literature;
  • a discussion of the methodology of your research,
  • or a formal presentation (paper in press or published).

You have the possibility to seek advices from an academic and/or an expert specialized in your research topic.

The organizing committee recalls that seminars are not only reserved for doctoral students, indeed academics are also welcome to present a project, a publication.

IRSS seminars take place 2 Thursdays per month from 12:00 to 13:30, at room A447 of ESP (with lunch).

If you plan to present a project during our future seminars (see date in table):

Register by sending an email to brice.lepiece@uclouvain.be or carine.vanmalderen@uclouvain.be.

Complete the following information: title, date, type of presentation (brainstorming, literature review, methodology, formal presentation) promoter, academic / expert expected (contact information if external), language (FR/EN). We ask you to provide an abstract of your presentation at least 15 days before the presentation.

We remind you that the participation in the seminars is credited for the PhD.

The first seminar is plan on 05 October (agenda soon available on IRSS’s web portal)

Thank you for your participation.
