“Organized skepticism"”

To the invitation of Prof. Laurent Taskin (LouRIM), Prof. Andre Spicer will share his views on the topic of “organized skepticism” in organization studies. A topic which He intends to investigate in the next couple of years.

Andre Spicer holds a PhD in Management from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He has been Lecturer in Organizational Behaviour and then Associate and Full Professor of Organization Studies at the University of Warwick (UK). Since 2011, He is Professor of Organizational Behaviour at Cass Business School, City University in London. He is head of ETHOS: the centre for responsible enterprise.

He has been visiting professor at the Copenhagen Business School, the University of Sydney, the University of Innsbruck, Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, University of Paris (Dauphine), Central European University, University of St Gallen, and the International College of Economics and Finance in Moscow. He is also Research Fellow at the University of Lund in Sweden. He has been a senior editor at the Journal of Management Studies and Organization Studies, and sits on the editorial board of Organization Studies, Social Movement Studies, Management Communication Quarterly and Journal of Management.

His research focuses on political dynamics in and around organizations. Andre has studied a wide range of settings including banks, seaports, public broadcasters, open source media networks, public libraries, professional service firms, universities and social movements. This work has been published in 6 books and over 50 scholarly articles and book chapters. His research has been reported in media throughout the world including CNN, The Financial Times, The Times (London), The Guardian, The Hindu (India), The Globe and Mail (Canada), The Australian, and The New Zealand Herald.
