Job description and skills

Murine in vivo cardiovascular system phenotyping

Expertise:

- Microsurgery (mice): Myocardial Infarction (MI), minimally invasive TransAortic Constriction (TAC), femoral artery ligation, telemetry catheter implanting, osmotic minipump implanting.

- Cardiac remodeling phenotyping by morphometrical, histological and molecular biology analysis

- Cardiac function by Echocardiography (Vevo 2100 imaging system, VisualSonics)

- Cardiac physiology by Telemetry (Data Science International and Ponemah data 5.2 acquisition)

- Management of transgenic (conditional) knock-out and knock-in mouse models

Other duties:

- Collaboration with other groups

- Setting up of surgeries

- Training of colleagues and other people on surgical techniques
