Pôle cellulaire et moléculaire
The Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience division consists of nine research groups that use molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, electrophysiology, pharmacology, imaging, and transgenesis to investigate the fundamental bases of development, physiology and pathologies of the nervous system.
Research interests include the characterization of mechanisms involved in neural dfferentiation, neuronal migration, axon guidance, synaptogenesis, degeneration, and phy- siology of neurons, astrocytes, and microglia.

Allan Barrea, Benoit P. Delhaye, Philippe Lefèvre and Jean-Louis Thonnard were awarded the best work-in-progress paper award at the IEEE World Haptics Conference held on June 6-9, 2017 in Munich, Germany for their work entitled " Finger pad mechanics during dexterous object manipulation". They presented a novel experimental device equipped with fingertip force sensing and finger pad imaging capabilities to study the effect of fingertip contact dynamics on object manipulation.
