How to enrol ?

Step 1 : Registration to the faculty of law : Complete the online form

► Please take into consideration all the instructions of the form.

► Students are responsible for the administration process of their visa and passport.

 

Step 2 : Registration to the faculty of law : Please date and sign the Sworn statement

 

Step 3 : Registration to the university : Complete the admission form – UCL Registration

► Please take into consideration all the instructions of the form (see page 2).

► Your exchange coordinator is Virginie Malapert if your home university is from: Australia – Austria – China – Croatia - Czech Republic – Denmark – Finland – Germany – Hungary –Island – Ireland - Latvia – Norway – Portugal – Romania – South and Latin America – Spain (Alcala de Henares; Barcelona; Lleida; Madrid Complutense; Salamanca) – Sweden – United Kingdom - USA – Turkey

► Your exchange coordinator is Agnès de Pourbaix if your home university is from: Belgium – Canada – France – Italy – Luxembourg – Poland – Spain (Madrid Comillas; Malaga; Murica; Oviedo; Pamplona; Valencia) – Switzerland

 

Step 4 : Registration to the university : date and sign the university regulation and data protection

► Only the French version must be signed. The English version is there to help understand the document

 

Step 5 : Complete your Learning Agreement

► The Course LDROI1053 Principes et méthode du droit belge is compulsory (expect for students coming from Belgium) – Please indicate the course on your LA (5 credits ECTS).

► Please indicate on your LA the course given during the semester of your stay.

2. Timetable courses

  • Click on timetable courses above
  • Fulfill the courses by indicating the specific code and number (without space) and by separating the code with a comma (i.e: lfirm2207, ldroi1281)
  • Once it is done, click on “ok”
  • Your timetable will appear on screen
  • Drag the scroll bar at the botton of the screen until you find the date (i.e : S02 05/02/2018)

If the courses do not overlap, this means you do not have scheduling-conflict.
Attention: The course LDROI1503 « Principe et Méthode du droit belge » wont’ appear in the timetable.
This timetable can change (Professor not available – Change of date, amphitheater…). Please make sure to check every week if there are any changes.

Timetable of « exercices pratiques » is tailor-made for each student coming from a Belgium University or from Luxembourg. It will be done at the beginning of the academic year based on the student courses.
EP are compulsory.

3. Complete your LA and signed it by you and your home coordinator. You can use your own model of LA if it is easier for you.

4. French course

Institut des langues vivantes (ILV) allow exchange students to take free French course up to maximum 10 credits/semester ou 16 credits/year.
The French course is FREE only if the course is indicated in your learning agreement and signed by your home university.

Enrolment to a French course is not automatic. To be certain to have a place in a group, student has to:

  • Pass the online test done on Moodle;
  • Assist to the course and have check with the teacher if there is a place available for him/her.
  • Check that the schedule of the course is suitable to his/her program.
  • Complete and return the registration form to your teacher beforehand signed by your Erasmus coordinators.
  • Enrolment deadline: date to be confirmed for the first semester – date to be confirmed for the second semester.

 

Step 6 : Send your documents

1. By email
Please send all the documents by email to Virginie Malapert AND Agnès de Pourbaix before May 30 (if you come for the fall semester or the full academic year) or before November 28 (if you come for the spring semester):

  • A photocopy of both sides in a good quality of your ID card or your passport (and visa if necessary)
  • University regulation and data protection
  • sworn attornment
  • admission form
  • Transcript of records from previous years of studies
  • Learning agreement

2. By post
Please send by post before May 30 (if you come for the fall semester or the full academic year) or before November 28 (if you come for the spring semester):

  • The original version of your LA signed
  • One ID Picture in a passport format (35*45mm and white background)

Step 7 : Accommodation

Please do the online registration for the accommodation (Kot in Belgium) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. The housing department will allocate an accommodation based on first come first served basis.
Important: You are considered as « exchange student » and not « international student ».
