Diane Bernard is a professor of legal theory, introduction to law and human rights, at UCLouvain, KULeuven, U. Saint-Louis (Brussels), ULg and SciencesPo Lille.
Since her PhD (2011), she has specialized in legal theory and international criminal law. She is currently engaged in thinking about the anthropological dimension and symbolic specificity of law, reading legal literature as well as philosophical, psychoanalytical, feminist, and sociological sources.
