Professor Bart Jourquin is a commercial
engineer with a doctorate in applied economics.
Researcher and teacher, he held various
academic positions including that of director of the Louvain School of
Management at the Mons campus, Rector of the Catholic University of Mons (FUCaM) and
Vice-Rector of the Catholic University of Louvain.
Besides various lectures in computer science,
he teaches transportation economics and transport network models.
He is the director of the Group Transport and
Mobility in Mons, one of the labs of the Center of Excellence in Supply
Chain Management (CESCM) of the ILSM and conducts
research in different areas such as modeling of multimodal freight transport
networks or cost-benefit / socio-economic analyses of transport infrastructure
projects.
Past or present member of various boards
(SNCB, ABX Logistics, SOFICO, Logistics in Wallonia, PASS ...), he is also
involved in several research projects and / or consultancy in partnership with
stakeholders in the transport sector Europe.
