February 2017 - Posdoc position (Charles Hachez's team)
A two year post-doctoral position is available to investigate the developmental process leading to the formation of glandular trichomes in Nicotiana tabacum. The project will focus on the identification and characterization of candidate genes controlling/driving this developmental process and will combine the expertise of the host lab in molecular and cell biology. Applicants should hold a PhD with a sound background in plant molecular and cellular biology, no more than four years of postdoctoral experience and no previous employment in Belgium. Experience with the handling and processing of large datasets (RNA-seq / ChIP-seq raw data files) is an asset.
February 2017 - PhD position (Charles Hachez's team)
A PhD position is available to investigate the developmental process leading to the formation of glandular trichomes in Nicotiana tabacum. The project will focus on the identification and characterization of candidate genes controlling/driving this developmental proces and will combine the expertise of the host lab in molecular and cell biology. Stable transgenic tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) lines deregulated in the expression of specific candidate genes will be generated and characterized. Funding is provided for two years and the position is available immediately. The candidate will have to apply to other PhD fellowships (via local agencies) to fund his/her work beyond these two years.
